Enamel print patterns have been identified to be unique to individual teeth of the same individual and also to different individuals which can be used as an identification tool in forensic dentistry. The objective of this research is to identify the mathematical formula from enamel print patterns of permanent extracted maxillary central incisors which can be a guide for individual identification of Deutero-Malay sub race.
The study method used was observational analysis. The study was conducted on extracted teeth of Deutero-Malay sub race individuals who come to Instalasi Eksodonsia Kedokteran Gigi, Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut from December 2017 to January 2018. The technique of sampling is a purposive sampling method and obtained 31 tooth samples based on inclusion criteria that only photomicrograph data of extracted permanent maxillary central incisors are chosen. Photomicrograph data were collected and analyzed using a fingerprint formula to form an enamel print patterns formula. The formulated enamel print patterns formula was tabulated in table form to interpret it.
The results obtained are the enamel print patterns can be made into a formula and the result of using an enamel print patterns formulation showed that no samples have similar enamel print patterns formula in each individual of sub race Deutero-Malay. When the formula of enamel print pattern was tested, it was found that no similar enamel print patterns among Deutero-Malay individuals with a ratio of 1: 6287855616.
The conclusion of this research was the mathematical model of enamel print patterns based on extracted permanent maxillary central incisors of Deutero-Malay sub race forms formula of enamel print patterns which is (Type of patterns).(Total patterns combination).(Ridge counting) and symbolized with "TP.∑PCn.Rn."
