    Goal of this research is to determine whether Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy
    (REBT) can be applied to improve emotional well-being on pension.

    This research used quasi experimental design. The research population was
    retired that categorized as ageing aged 55 years above. The sampling technique was
    purposive sampling, with the characteristics of experiencing lowering emotional
    well-being as a result of retirement in category medium or low, educational
    background at least junior high school graduate and be able to understand
    Indonesian language well, express willingness to participate in the research process
    from start to finish, and not serving any other psychotherapy. Participants in this
    research ,are consisted of two patients.

    Data gathering was obtained by using interviews and questionnaires. The
    questionnaire that used in the study was The Scale Positive and Negative
    Experience (SPANE), Ladder Scale (Self-Anchoring Striving Scale), Subjective
    Happiness Scale, and Satisfaction with Life Scale. Research data was analyzed
    using quantitative methods and quantitative method.

    The results demonstrated that Cognitive Behavioral Stress Management
    (CBSM) was benefit to diminish psychological distress for both participants. It was
    characterized by increasing scores questionnaire after the intervention.
    Qualitatively, there was enhancement of behavioral and emotional symptoms of
    emotional well-being in both participants. Religion aspect has an influence in
    changing the thought for both participants.
