Goal of this research is to determine whether Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy &#13;
(REBT) can be applied to improve emotional well-being on pension. &#13;
&#13;
This research used quasi experimental design. The research population was &#13;
retired that categorized as ageing aged 55 years above. The sampling technique was &#13;
purposive sampling, with the characteristics of experiencing lowering emotional &#13;
well-being as a result of retirement in category medium or low, educational &#13;
background at least junior high school graduate and be able to understand &#13;
Indonesian language well, express willingness to participate in the research process &#13;
from start to finish, and not serving any other psychotherapy. Participants in this &#13;
research ,are consisted of two patients. &#13;
&#13;
Data gathering was obtained by using interviews and questionnaires. The &#13;
questionnaire that used in the study was The Scale Positive and Negative &#13;
Experience (SPANE), Ladder Scale (Self-Anchoring Striving Scale), Subjective &#13;
Happiness Scale, and Satisfaction with Life Scale. Research data was analyzed &#13;
using quantitative methods and quantitative method. &#13;
&#13;
The results demonstrated that Cognitive Behavioral Stress Management &#13;
(CBSM) was benefit to diminish psychological distress for both participants. It was &#13;
characterized by increasing scores questionnaire after the intervention. &#13;
Qualitatively, there was enhancement of behavioral and emotional symptoms of &#13;
emotional well-being in both participants. Religion aspect has an influence in &#13;
changing the thought for both participants. &#13;
