<note>ABSTRACT

Wan Priando Tampoma. 2017. Morphophysiologic Ch racter Response,
Yield and Grain Physical Charateristic of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Poso Local
Cultivars Silica to Fertilization and Flooding Conditions S pervised by Tati
Nurmala and Meddy Rachmady

Local rice cultivar is one of the low-productivity rice varieties. Rice crops
can be cultivated with flodeed and without puddles. Giving silica to the rice crops
can help to optimize the growth and yield-of the rice crops. The purposes of this
study were to obtain silica dosage which provides effect to morph-physiological
character, yield and yield quality of rice (Oryza sativa L.) of Poso local cultivars.
The experiment was conducted from August 2016 until January 2017 at the
Experimental Sation of the Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University. The
experimental was arranged the split split plot design. The main plot factor
consisted oftwo treatments, there are 36-Super cultivars and Tagolu cultivars. The
subplot factor consists of two levels of treatment, there are without pu les and
flooded. The sub-sub plot factor consists of four treatment levels there without
silica, silica dosage 0.5 Llha, silica dosage 1 Llha and silica dosage 1.5 Llha.

Observed variable were (1) Morph-physiological character Wlant height,
maximum number of tillers and shoot root ratio, leaf area, leaf angle, plant dry
weight, net assimilation rate, relative growth rate, flowering age and harvest age),
(2) Yield and yield quality (number of panicles, panicle length, percentage of
grain contents, grain weight per clump, 1000 grain weight, harvest index, grain
length, grain width and grain thickness). Data were analyzed with variance at 5%
confidence level based on calculation of plot design divided by SPSS version
17.0. If the treatment has significant effect on morph-physiology characteristic,
yield and yield quality, then analysis will be continued using Duncan Multiple
Range Test at 5% real level.

The results showed that on the morphophysical characteristic the best
response of treatment was produced by Tagolu cultivar which flooded with 1 Llha
silica dose to plant height (137,50 cm). The Tagolu cultivar which flooded the
best response to plant dry weight (123.81 g) and 36-Super cultivars which fooded
the maximum number of tillers (49.48 seedlings) and harvest age (139,50 day
after seeling). The Tagolu cultivar the best response treatment to the shoot-root
ratio (3.47) and leaf area (12.82dm2 / clump) and the treatment of silica dose to
the leaf angle (31,380). In the yields and physical characteristic of grain the best
response of treatment was produced by ~-Super cultivar was to the number of
panicles per hill (26.67 panicle), Tagolu c ltivar was to panicle length (27.33 cm),
treatment was flooded to panicle per hill (21.83 panicle), Treatm t silica dosage
1 L/ha to grain weight per hill (57.77 g), weight of 1000 grains (22.49 g), grain
length (8.32 mm), grain width (2.40 min) and grain thickness (1.73 mm)
