Sifat-sifat penaksir indeks LQ masih perlu untuk ditelaah. Penelitian ini membahas tentang sifat-sifat penaksir indeks LQ. Untuk kasus binomial statistik indeks LQ tak bias, sedangkan pada kasus poisson menjadi bias pada saat ukuran sampel kecil dan proporsi industri besar. Implementasi pada penentuan konsentrasi industri di Indonesia pada tingkat provinsi dan kabupaten berdasarkan data Industri Besar dan Sedang 2012 menunjukkan bahwa industri makanan menyebar di beberapa provinsi dan kabupaten dengan indeks LQ sebesar 3,17 dan persentase 76% pada data provinsi 2 digit dan 4,16 dan persentase 100% pada data kabupaten 2 digit. Sedangkan pada data provinsi 3 digit industri minyak makan, lemak nabati dan hewani indeks LQ sebesar 24,40 dan persentase 72% pada data provinsi 3 digit dan indeks LQ sebesar 33,99 dan persentase 100% pada data kabupaten 3 digit. Abstract Index Location Quotient (LQ) is one measure to measure the spread of the industry in a pahicular area. The properties of the estimator LQ still need to be explored. This study will be discussed about the properties of the estimator LQ. LQ for binomial result is in the case of binomial statistics LQ not biased, whereas in the case of poisson be biased when the small sample size and the proportion of large industries. Implementation of the determination of the concentration of industry in Indonesia at the provincial and district level based on the data of Large and Medium 2012 showed that the food industry spread in several provinces and districts with LQ of 3.17 and a percentage of 76% on a 2-digit provincial data and 4.l6 and percentage of 100% in the 2-digit district data.
