 <note>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (a) Merekayasa desain prototipe mesin pengkubus pakan &#13;
lengkap berdimensi (3x3x3) cm3 khususnya pada lubang pencetak kubus (moulding), (b) &#13;
elakukan uji kinerja prototipe mesin pengolah pakan hijauan bentuk kubus hasil &#13;
rekayasa desain, dan (c) Melakukan analisis si fat dan karakteristik fisik, dan mekanik &#13;
produk hasil olahan pakan hijauan bentuk kubus. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian &#13;
ini metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial dengan 2 &#13;
faktor yaitu kecepatan putaran ulir dar, kadar air adonan serta diulang sebanyak 3 kali. &#13;
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (a) Tidak terjadi interaksi untuk beberapa &#13;
karakteristik fisik Pellet Kubus Wafer (b) Perbedaa n kadar air adonan memberikan &#13;
pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap sifat densitas kamba (bulk density). Demikan juga &#13;
perbedaan kecepatan putaran ulir memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata terhadap &#13;
kadar air Pellet Kubus Wafer, dan (c) Hasil pengamatan terhadap kapasitas mesin &#13;
diperoleh data bahwa kapasitas efektif terbesar yaitu pada perlakuan a3nl sebesar 32.712 &#13;
kg/jam dan menghasilkan efisiensi mesin yang paling besar yaitu 96,27 persen. &#13;
edangkan dari penggunaan daya maka dapat dilihat bahwa perlakuan yang &#13;
&#13;
membutuhkan daya paling besar adalah airu yaitu sebesar 3,05 kW. &#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
&#13;
The objectives of the research were: (a) To design a prototype of cubical complete feed &#13;
machine with dimension of (3x3x3) cm ', particularly on dies moulding, (b) To conduct &#13;
performance lest of the prototype machine, and (c) To conduct phisical anf mechanical &#13;
cnaracteristics of the cube complete feed product. Randomized Block Design with &#13;
factorial pattern was used. The factors inciude RPM and Dough Water Content and &#13;
replicated three times. The results indicated that: (a) There are no interaction among some &#13;
physical and mechanical characteristics of the wafer feed cubes. (b) The differences of &#13;
dough moisture content significantly affected on the product bulk density. In addition, the &#13;
RPM differences significantly affected on moisture content of wafer feed cubes, and (c) &#13;
The treatment combination of a-n 1 had the highest effective capacity of 32 71 kg/hour and &#13;
resulted in the highest efficiency of 96.27%. While, the treatment combination of a.n, &#13;
required the highest energy of3.05 kW.</note>
