This research discuss about influence of reading literary work and reading of the students of SMA 11 TASIK MALA YA to their academic achievement. This rch attempt to discover how far the students know about literature and their in reading some works of literature, and also how the literature influence their ••• mic achievement. The research uses qualitative method. The analysis is conducted based on . aires distributed to them and a little interview to the "top ten" of students. The result shows that the students seem to have interest in literature, and there correlations between reading literature and academic achievement. The correlations by the grade that they gained in their academic report.
