• The studies presented in this book confirm the success of immediate loading in the posterior mandible. Animal studies examining the role of occlusal loading in the posterior area of the mandible clinically, radiologically, histologically, and histomorphometrically are also presented and documented with numerous examples and clinical photographs, as are clinical and radiologic results from a randomized clinical study of the mandibular posterior bone of humans after an average loading duration of 2 years.
