    ABSTRACT

This study aimed at verification of the relationships between self-regulation, job stress,
and job performance. Descriptive methodology was used and data were obtained through
questionnaires. Three instruments were used to measure the variables. Subjects aged of 20's
to 50's were employees in three companies in Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. And the
Sample size is 14 respondents. The results of the study indicated that self-regulation and job
stress have influence on job performance. In this study, Job stress has 2 dimensions; job
oriented stressor and personal-oriented stressor. And job performance has 2 dimensions; task
skill performance and self-control performance. (Self-regulation toward task skill
    performance B=0.77), (Self-regulation toward self-control performance B=0.56), (Job
oriented stressor toward task skill performance B=0.71), and (personal-oriented stressor
    toward self-control performance B=-O.62).

The analytic approaches included pearson's correlation analysis and regression
analysis. For test of instruments, factor analysis is used for test of validity and test of
reliability is also operated. As to test of reliability, Cronbach's Alpha was used to examine
internal consistencies of instruments (the standard: coefficient ~ 60). After the test of
instruments, 23 items are survived and those are used for analyses of correlation and

    regression.

The Theory of Self-Regulation and Transactional model of stress demonstrated
applicability for predicting determinants of job performance. Stakeholders who are engaged

    , .

in industrial aspects should take a keen interest on employees' self-regulation and job stress

in order to lead to good job performance and more productivity.
