ix,;123 hlm,;29 cm ABSTRACT Tin mining at Kepulauan Bangka Belitung Province has been taken place more than 200 years, which is spread out more than 800 km in length area. These area known as The Indonesian Tin Belt as a part of The Southeast Asia Tin Belt, runs over 3.000 km from Asian mainland towards Thailand, Malaysian Peninsula until Indonesia. Small scale tin mining is a community tin mining activity, that varies from mining without tools to mining with simple mechanical tools. These small scale tin mining is usually minor in capital with relatively small mining area, and they usually have no mining permission. It is usually managed without principles of good mining practice, with the result of environmental damage and other unlikely impacts. The research was done at Kabupaten Bangka Tengah, where the "focus of research is to find out the pattern and processes of small scale tin mining there, and the impact done, looking at it from policy aspect, institution aspect, economical aspect, technical aspect and environment management point of view. This research method is dominant qualitative less dominant quantitative method (Creswell, 2002). Qualitative method is used to study the pattern of big scale and small scale tin mining management, where after to concept an integration model of small scale tin mining management. to the large scale tin mining. Whilest the quantitative method is used to study the bussiness level, the capital used, the width of the mining area, the tin production, operating income and other information relevant to each small scale tin mining. The same study is done to the large scale tin mining. This research proposed "Modifikasi Kemitraan Inti Integratif Plasma" model, based on Mitra Inti Integrasi Plasma model, and modificated to the research facts. This Modifikasi Kemitraan Inti Integratif Plasma model could be a model to integrate small scale tin mining management to the large scale tin mining, that on implementation needs modification on institution especially corporate form, more active governement role as fasilitator and regulator, and small scale tin mining community development, to sustain mining industry.
